Camogli

---

If you mean the best places to stay actually in Camogli, I’d focus on these:

• Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi - the standout for a classic seaside stay. Right on the waterfront, with a private beach, pool, sea-view restaurant, and exceptionally strong guest ratings. Booking.com currently shows 9.3/10 from ~980 reviews, with 9.9/10 for location.
• Sublimis Boutique Hotel - best for a more contemporary/boutique feel. Smaller and more intimate than the Cenobio, and right in Camogli.
• Hotel La Camogliese - good central option. A traditional hotel on the main waterfront area, convenient for restaurants, the beach and exploring town.
• Albergo Augusta Camogli hotel - best smaller/value-oriented option. It's very central, about 50 m from the harbor, and recent reviews particularly praise its renovation, cleanliness and terrace. Booking.com gives it 9.1/10 from 411 reviews, including 9.6 for location and 9.6 for cleanliness.
• Carrick Hotel - another good option if you want to stay in Camogli without paying Cenobio-level prices.

The best hotels in Camogli range from grand cliffside resorts with private beaches to intimate boutique villas hidden in the hills. Because Camogli is a beautifully preserved, vertical fishing village, your choice will likely come down to whether you want to step directly onto the beach promenade or retreat up the hillside for quiet panoramic views.

Premier Seaside & Luxury Hotels

This classic 4-star resort is the town's most iconic property, famous for its enviable location on a private cliffside corner at the end of the bay. The Vibe: Old-school Ligurian elegance with impeccable service and spectacular sunset views. Standout Perks: It features one of the only saltwater swimming pools and private beach areas in Camogli. It also offers a dedicated elevator straight down to the train station and rare complimentary on-site private parking . Tip: Avoid the "Classic" rooms, which can feel slightly dated; upgrade to a sea-view room to ensure a balcony overlooking the water.

A posh, sophisticated adults-only 4-star boutique hotel perfectly positioned directly on the beach walkway. The Vibe: Modern, airy, and intensely romantic—ideal for honeymoons or couples looking for a quiet, child-free escape. Standout Perks: Incredible floor-to-ceiling views of the sea from the breakfast room and a highly attentive staff that goes out of their way to customize your itinerary.

Camogli's newer 5-star luxury option located just a stone's throw from the train station. The Vibe: Sleek and contemporary with high-end amenities, an exceptional on-site restaurant, and a full-service spa. Standout Perks: Unbeatable logistics for travelers using the train to explore nearby Portofino, San Fruttuoso, or the Cinque Terre.

Charming Boutique Villas & B&Bs

A meticulously restored 1907 villa tucked away into the quiet, verdant hills just above the town center. The Vibe: A stylish, design-forward oasis that feels more like staying at a wealthy friend's private estate than a traditional hotel. Standout Perks: A gorgeous, secluded garden with an outdoor swimming pool, modern interiors, and free parking. Trade-off: It is a steep 12-minute walk up from the promenade, which keeps it incredibly peaceful but requires a bit of effort after a long day at the beach.

A casual yet highly-rated 4-star B&B nestled right in the vibrant heart of town. The Vibe: Exceptionally warm, authentic, and community-focused, largely driven by the host, Claudio, who provides legendary local tips. Standout Perks: Rooms allow you to fall asleep directly to the sound of the waves. Crucially for Camogli's historic architecture, it features a guest elevator , saving you from hauling heavy luggage up steep Ligurian staircases.

Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi, Sublimis Boutique Hotel (Adults-Only), Carrick Hotel Camogli, La Camogliese Hotel B&B, and Villa Rosmarino consistently rank among the best in Camogli based on ratings and reviews from TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Trip.com, and similar sites.

Camogli is a charming Ligurian fishing village on the Italian Riviera (near Portofino), so top properties emphasize sea views, beach access, and proximity to the promenade, train station, and trails.

Top Picks

Here’s a breakdown of the standouts:

• Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi (4-star)
Frequently tops or near the top of lists. Guests praise its prime seafront location (near the train station and town center), private beach, heated seawater pool, excellent restaurants, strong breakfast, and attentive staff. It has a resort-like feel with thousands of reviews (around 4.6/5 on TripAdvisor and 9.3–9.4 on Booking/Trip.com). Ideal for a full-service stay with views over the bay.

• Sublimis Boutique Hotel (Adults-Only / WorldHotels Elite) (4-star)
A stylish 19th-century villa right on the sea with direct beach access, panoramic terraces, strong breakfast, and high service scores. Ratings are excellent (often 4.8/5 on TripAdvisor and ~9.1–9.4 elsewhere). Best for couples seeking a quieter, more intimate boutique experience (guests 16+). Sea-view rooms and sunset aperitifs are highlights.

• Carrick Hotel Camogli (Portofino Coast) (5-star)
Modern and well-reviewed for cleanliness, comfort, location near the station and water, professional staff, and quality breakfast. It often appears high in rankings (around 9.0). Good facilities including restaurant, fitness, garden, and parking options. Suits those wanting a polished, contemporary stay.

• La Camogliese Hotel B&B (3-star)
Excellent value with very high guest scores (frequently 9.6 on some platforms and strong TripAdvisor marks). Perfect location above the beach/promenade, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and standout breakfasts. Many return visitors call it a quiet, welcoming base just steps from the action.

• Villa Rosmarino
A charming boutique villa/B&B higher up (short walk or drive from the center) with a lovely garden, outdoor pool, sea/hill views, and stylish, uniquely decorated rooms. Ratings are outstanding (often 4.9/5 on TripAdvisor and 9.4+). Great for a more secluded, design-focused stay with personal hospitality.

Quick Tips

• Location matters: Seafront properties (Cenobio, Sublimis, La Camogliese, Carrick) put you steps from the beach, restaurants, and boats. Villa Rosmarino is quieter and elevated.
• Seasonality & prices: Rates vary widely (often €150–500+ per night depending on season, view, and dates). Peak summer is busiest and most expensive; shoulder seasons offer better value and fewer crowds.
• Other notes: Many places emphasize breakfast quality and staff hospitality. Parking can be limited in the historic center—hotels with private options are useful if driving. The area is walkable and well-connected by train for day trips to Portofino, Santa Margherita, or Genoa.

Check recent reviews and availability on sites like Booking.com or TripAdvisor for your exact dates, as ratings and offerings can shift. Camogli’s compact size means most highly rated stays put you close to the best of the village. Enjoy the pastel houses and Ligurian Sea views!

Sublimis Boutique Hotel Camogli, Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi, and La Camogliese Hotel B&B are among the top-rated options. Other strong choices include Carrick Hotel Camogli and Stella Marina. Prices and availability vary by date.
