Posada, Sardinia (Italy) — a medieval village in the Province of Nuoro on Sardinia’s east coast (near beaches like Su Tiriarzu and San Giovanni, and the Castello della Fava) — is the location that dominates “best hotels in Posada” searches.
Here are some of the strongest options based on consistent high ratings across Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Kayak, and similar sites (as of recent data):
Top recommendations
| Hotel | Rating (approx.) | Style & highlights | Why it stands out |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maria Caderina Green Village | 4.8/5 Tripadvisor (300+ reviews); ~9.0–9.1 Booking | 4-star family-run countryside hotel with outdoor pool, roof garden, restaurant using farm/own produce | Peaceful setting a short drive from the town and beaches; repeatedly praised for cleanliness, attentive staff, home-made food, and relaxing atmosphere. Often ranked among the top properties. |
| Hotel Donatella | ~4.3/5 Tripadvisor; ~8.5 Booking | 3-star hotel in the medieval center | Convenient location near the castle and Blue Flag beach; air-conditioned rooms with balconies, on-site restaurant/bar, parking. Solid mid-range choice for exploring the village. |
| Su Vrau (Tenuta/Agriturismo Su Vrau) | ~4.1/5 Tripadvisor | Agriturismo/resort-style with pool, tennis, nature setting | Green surroundings and views; good for a more rural/stay-with-amenities experience (note: some mixed feedback on certain facilities or animals). |
| Sale Hotel | ~9.1 | Smaller hotel with terrace/bar and city views | Frequently high guest scores for location (near Su Tiriarzu Beach), cleanliness, and service. |
| Resort Fior di Sardegna | ~4.0/5 | Resort near the beach/San Giovanni area | Popular for value and proximity to the sea; more resort-like facilities. |
Other strong options (especially smaller/B&B-style)
- Hotel Made, B&B Sos Manneddos, Il Pepe Rosa, and B&B Eleonora d’Arborea often score 4.9/5 on Tripadvisor with smaller review counts — excellent for a more intimate, highly rated stay in or near the historic center.
- Many guests also like agriturismi (farm stays) such as Agriturismo Guparza or Irghitula for authentic Sardinian hospitality, views, and local food.
Practical notes:
Posada is a relatively small destination, so “best” often means a mix of small hotels, B&Bs, and agriturismi rather than large luxury resorts. A car is very useful (beaches and countryside properties are a short drive). Prices vary by season; shoulder periods are more affordable. Many properties emphasize local food, outdoor pools, and proximity to the coast or the medieval village.
If you meant Posadas, Argentina (note the final “s”) or another Posada (e.g., in Spain), let me know — those have different top hotels. For the Sardinian Posada, checking current availability and recent reviews on Tripadvisor or Booking.com is recommended, as ratings can shift slightly with season and updates.
