⚠️ Considerations

• Location trade-off: Hotels in Riva del Garda (like Gioiosa or Lido Palace) are not in Tenno proper but offer more luxury.
• Seasonality: Prices rise in summer and during local festivals near Lake Tenno.
• Transport: Tenno is a small village; car rental is recommended for exploring nearby Garda and mountain trails.

Tenno (Trentino-Alto Adige/South Tyrol, Italy) is a scenic hillside village above Riva del Garda, known for the emerald Lake Tenno, the medieval stone village of Canale di Tenno (one of Italy’s most beautiful villages), Tenno Castle, olive groves, vineyards, and easy access to Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains.

Most accommodations are small hotels, agriturismos (farm stays), B&Bs, and apartments rather than large resorts. Guest ratings are generally high. Here are some of the consistently best-rated options based on Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Kayak, Trivago, and similar sites (ratings approximate and can fluctuate):

Top recommendations

• Agritur Acetaia Gourmet&Relax (also called Acetaia del Balsamico Trentino Bed & Breakfast)
Frequently tops lists with ratings around 9.1–9.3. Rooftop terrace with seasonal swimming pool and panoramic Lake Garda views, gourmet restaurant using their own products (notably balsamic vinegar, plus wine, cheese, etc.), modern clean rooms, and friendly staff. Excellent for food lovers and couples seeking views and relaxation. Short drive to Riva del Garda.

• Hotel Antica Croce – Gardaslowemotion
Solid 8.7–8.9 ratings. Family-run hotel set directly opposite Tenno Castle in the village center. Outdoor pool, garden, traditional restaurant serving local specialties (including their own carne salada), mountain views, free parking, and a convenient base for exploring. Simple, comfortable rooms; some with balconies.

• Club Hotel Lago di Tenno (Club Hotel Tenno)
Popular for its location right by Lake Tenno (easy walking access). Outdoor pool + children’s pool, tennis courts, restaurant, free parking, and family-friendly vibe. Ratings typically in the 8.2–8.5 range. Great for a quieter lakeside stay away from the busier shores of Lake Garda.

• GARNI' FOCI
Strong ratings around 9.2. Near the Varone Waterfall (short walk), with indoor and outdoor pools, spa/wellness area (sauna, steam, hot tub—often bookable extra), terrace, and good breakfast. Comfortable modern rooms; well-regarded for cleanliness, staff, and value. Note that some listings place it in the broader Riva del Garda area, but it is in/near Tenno.

Other highly rated options

• Le Terre di Gu — Farm stay with high scores (~9.3–9.5), views, and a peaceful setting.
• Residenza Arcobaleno — Apartments with strong ratings (~9.2–9.5), mountain/lake views, and restaurant.
• Terrazze sul Garda — Excellent reviews for views and pool.
• Smaller gems with exceptional scores (often 9.5–9.8 but fewer reviews): B&B Ai Castagni, Casa alla Cascata, Eco Del Garda Bnb/Apartments, Villa Paradiso Parolari, and various private apartments or residences.

Practical tips

• Style of stay: Expect intimate, locally run properties rather than big chains. Many offer free parking (useful as the area is best explored by car), Wi-Fi, and outdoor spaces. Agriturismos emphasize local food and products.
• Location priorities: Choose Club Hotel Lago di Tenno for lakeside immersion; Antica Croce or central apartments for the village/castle; Acetaia or hillside properties for Lake Garda panoramas.
• Nearby alternatives: If you want more luxury or larger facilities, look in Riva del Garda (a short drive)—options like Du Lac et du Parc Grand Resort, Lido Palace, or Parc Hotel Flora frequently appear in broader searches.
• Best time & booking: High season is summer and early autumn. Prices vary widely by dates (often starting ~€100–200+ per night for doubles). Check current availability and reviews on Booking.com, Tripadvisor, or Kayak, as offerings include many apartments that can be excellent value for longer stays or families.

For the most up-to-date prices, availability, and guest photos, search directly on major booking sites with your preferred dates. Enjoy the “Blu di Tenno” lake color and the peaceful hilltop setting!
