If you mean Lagonegro, Basilicata, these are the main options I’d look at based on current guest ratings, review volume, and location:
BHOTEL - Best overall hotel
- 4.6/5 from 1,700+ Google reviews
- Modern rooms, large parking area, garden and tennis court
- Just off the A2 motorway, making it particularly convenient for a road trip
- Booking.com currently shows 9.0/10 from ~1,100 reviews.
Hotel San Nicola - Best for staying in town
- Central location in Lagonegro
- 4.3/5 from 750+ Google reviews
- Traditional/vintage character, restaurant and parking
- Booking.com rating around 8.4/10 from 900+ reviews.
Hotel Caimo - Good-value hotel
- 4.2/5 from 180+ Google reviews
- Free parking and Wi-Fi
- Booking.com currently rates it around 8.2/10, with prices often lower than Bhotel.
Bed & Breakfast LULUGIU' - Best B&B alternative
- Central but quiet
- 4.5/5 on Google
- Booking.com shows 8.9/10 from 370+ reviews, with guests particularly mentioning the new rooms and convenient location.
If you're willing to stay just outside Lagonegro
Alba Relais in nearby Nemoli is worth considering: Booking.com currently shows 9.3/10 from 160+ reviews, and it's near Lago Sirino.
My practical shortlist: Bhotel for comfort/convenience, San Nicola for a more traditional town stay, and LULUGIU' if you prefer a smaller B&B.
If you give me your dates and number of guests, I can also compare the current prices and availability for these hotels.

Bhotel (also known as Midi Hotel or B hotel) and Hotel San Nicola stand out as the best and most consistently recommended hotels in Lagonegro, a small town in Basilicata (Province of Potenza), Italy. Options are limited because it’s a modest inland stop between the mountains and the coast (near Maratea).

Quick details
- Bhotel (Viale Colombo 76) — The clear top choice. Guests praise the modern design, cleanliness, comfort, friendly staff, and convenient location right off the A3 motorway exit. The on-site restaurant gets frequent positive mentions. It’s popular as a comfortable overnight stop and has amenities like a tennis court and garden. Prices typically start around €100–150/night depending on dates.
- Hotel San Nicola (Piazza della Repubblica 27) — Solid, more traditional option in the town center. Reviewers highlight the staff (often the strongest point), cleanliness, breakfast, and good value. Some note the property feels a bit dated, but service and location make up for it. Often cheaper than Bhotel.
Other options
- Hotel Caimo Bed-Breakfast — Decent mid-range choice with solid (if not outstanding) reviews.
- Smaller B&Bs and apartments such as Loft09 Exclusive Suite (very high scores, fewer reviews), Nella mia città, Bed And Breakfast - Lulugiu, and Appartamento MODÈ — Good for shorter stays or if you prefer private apartments; ratings can be excellent but based on fewer reviews.
- Nearby alternatives (Maratea, Sapri, etc.) are stronger if you want sea views or luxury, but they are 15–20+ km away.
Tips: Lagonegro is mainly a convenient base or stopover (highway access, near mountains and the Tyrrhenian coast). Check current prices and availability on Booking.com, TripAdvisor, or Kayak, as they fluctuate. Free parking is common and useful. For the most up-to-date reviews and deals, look at recent guest feedback on the major booking sites.
